Makindye- Uganda — October 2025.
In a meaningful continuation of the Pink Wellness Wave campaign, Wellness With Her, in partnership with the Eric Cancer Initiative (ERIC), officially rolled out the Breast Health Awareness Worksheet during the Cancer Survivors’ Breakfast held last Thursday in Makindye. The event gathered survivors, advocates, and health enthusiasts in a morning filled with gratitude, learning, and healing movement.

The newly launched worksheet is a practical and reflective tool designed to help women, and communities at large, take charge of their breast, body, and mental health. Developed through the collaboration between the two organisations, the tool presents 30 intentional activities that guide users through self-care routines, movement practices, nutritional habits, and emotional check-ins. Each activity is structured to encourage conscious living, awareness of body signals, and the integration of holistic wellness into daily life.

The Cancer Survivors’ Breakfast provided the perfect setting for the launch. It was an emotional yet uplifting gathering, where survivors shared personal stories of perseverance; moments of pain, recovery, and renewed hope. Between heartfelt conversations, participants engaged in a Gratitude Exchange Session led by the Wellness With Her team, where they reflected on lessons their bodies had taught them through illness and healing. The moment was followed by a gentle movement and stretching routine, helping participants release tension and embrace the day with renewed energy.
The Breast Health Awareness Worksheet was introduced as a continuation of Wellness With Her’s Affirm Your Life Challenge, under the themed edition Affirm Your Body and as a by product of the Pink Wellness Wave. This version focuses on deepening body connection and promoting breast health awareness through mindful daily practices. Each activity encourages users to take small, consistent steps from performing regular self-exams and maintaining balanced nutrition, to journaling gratitude and practising emotional release.
Speaking at the launch, the ERIC Cancer Initiative team highlighted that the worksheet comes at a critical time when breast cancer remains a leading cause of illness among women in Uganda. Many still face late diagnoses due to fear, stigma, or lack of information. The organisations hope the tool will not only spread awareness but also empower women to take preventive action and advocate for their health proactively.
The worksheet also aligns with the broader goals of the Pink Wellness Wave a collaborative movement by Wellness With Her and ERIC Cancer Initiative that merges physical, mental, and emotional health education with community engagement. Through workshops, survivor sessions, and digital outreach, the campaign continues to emphasise that breast health is not a one-month commitment but a lifelong practice.

Participants described the session as transformative; combining emotional support, wellness learning, and actionable guidance. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing how the worksheet bridged the gap between awareness and practical daily application.
The Breast Health Awareness Worksheet is now available for download for anyone looking to begin or strengthen their wellness journey. It serves as a personal companion, a reminder to nurture, listen to, and affirm one’s body every day.
