This October, Wellness with Her Club joins hands with the Eric Cancer Initiative (ERIC) to launch the Pink Wellness Wave: a movement that celebrates women’s wellness in its most holistic form: body, mind, and breast health.
The Pink Wellness Wave is more than just a campaign, it’s a shared commitment to nurture a culture of awareness, compassion, and community. It reminds every woman that caring for her breasts, body and mind is not a luxury, but a necessity; not a moment, but a movement.
About the ERIC Cancer Initiative (E.R.I.C)

The E.R.I.C Cancer Initiative (Early Recognition Is Critical) is a non-profit organisation committed to saving lives through the early recognition of breast cancer. Founded in 2022 in Uganda and based at Mukono Mall, Mukono, ERIC began as a four-month community project working hand-in-hand with Village Health Teams (VHTs) to promote breast cancer awareness and screening at the grassroots level.
Over the last 20 months, E.R.I.C. has taken root in Uganda. In just a year and a half, they have educated over 30,365 women and girls in reproductive age on breast cancer risk factors and breast self-examination techniques. Their team is comprised of 7 incredible women and a growing network of partners including the Mukono regional hospital and are members of the Uganda Cancer Society.
What started as a small, passionate effort has since blossomed into a fully fledged organisation driving sustainable change in communities across Uganda and across the world. Today, E.R.I.C continues to expand its reach through health education, early detection programmes, and partnerships that centre women’s health and empowerment at the heart of its mission.
Why the Pink Wellness Wave Matters
Every woman carries a story of strength; one that deserves to be seen, felt, and celebrated. Yet, too many of these stories are interrupted by silence, stigma, and late diagnosis. The Pink Wellness Wave is here to change that.
By merging Wellness with Her Club’s holistic approach to body and mind with ERIC’s life-saving mission of early detection, the movement invites women to take charge of their health; from within and beyond. It’s a call to move, to learn, and to listen to the quiet messages our bodies send us every day.
What to Expect
Throughout the month and beyond, the Pink Wellness Wave will unfold through a series of events and activations that blend wellness, awareness, and community care:
💗 Wellness Sessions:
Our signature movement experiences during the Wato Movement; Cardio & Whine and Slow Whine are now reimagined to celebrate body confidence, emotional release, and feminine strength.
💗 Health Talks & Screenings:

Expect Empowering conversations with medical experts, breast cancer survivors, and advocates, paired with free screening opportunities and practical health checks – these conversations shall be held both in person and online.
💗 Creative Healing Circles:
Safe, heart-centred spaces where women gather to express, heal, and connect through storytelling, art, and mindfulness.
💗 Community Activations:
Outreach drives and awareness walks to spread the message of early detection and self-examination because knowledge is power, and community is healing. We already started these when we set up a Wellness Corner at Vumbula Uganda.

A Shared Message from the Movement
When women come together, we create waves; waves of hope, healing, and transformation.
The Pink Wellness Wave is a tribute to every woman who has fought, who is fighting, and who continues to rise with grace and resilience. It’s a movement that reminds us:
when we move, we heal.
when we learn, we grow.
when we unite, we save lives.
Join us in spreading the wave: for body, for mind, for breast health. 💗
