For the past five years, Vumbula Uganda Festival has been at the forefront of showcasing Uganda’s rich cultural heritage, music, and tourism. This year, the festival takes a bold step forward, not only celebrating culture and creativity but also prioritising wellness and holistic living. Wellness With Her Club is proud to announce its collaboration with Vumbula Uganda, curating a new dimension to the festival experience that nurtures both the body and the mind.
The collaboration officially begins on 4th October 2025, with a Wato Movement Workshop and Activation hosted at our base, Karuna Wellness Studio in Naguru. This session is designed to prepare participants mentally, physically, and emotionally ahead of the main festival happening from 9th to 11th October 2025 at Ndere Cultural Center. Through intentional movement, grounding practices, and community energy, the Wato Movement Workshop will set the tone for a vibrant, connected, and holistic festival journey.

What “Vumbula” Means
The word “Vumbula” means “discover” in the local dialect, a fitting name for a festival that continues to invite people to explore Uganda’s treasures. From hidden cultural gems to rising musical talent and unique tourism experiences, Vumbula embodies the spirit of curiosity and exploration. By adding wellness to this journey of discovery, participants will not only uncover more of Uganda but also reconnect with themselves on a deeper level.
Why This Partnership Matters
At Wellness With Her Club, we believe that wellness should be accessible, fun, and woven into the fabric of everyday life including cultural festivals. Partnering with Vumbula Uganda gives us an opportunity to:
Expand holistic experiences: Festivals often focus on music and entertainment; we are integrating wellness practices to ensure participants also leave feeling grounded, energised, and nourished.
Celebrate culture and health together: Just as Vumbula highlights Uganda’s diverse culture and tourism, we bring in the dimension of holistic health, reminding participants that their bodies and minds are key parts of cultural expression and identity.
Engage a diverse community: This partnership allows us to connect with a wider audience, inviting festival-goers to see wellness not as a separate activity but as a lifestyle that enhances creativity, joy, and collective celebration.
Strategically align with global conversations: Around the world, festivals are becoming more holistic, blending wellness, sustainability, and culture. Together with Vumbula Uganda, we are positioning Uganda at the heart of this global shift.
