Happy half year and welcome to June. It’s always a time for me to check in with gratitude for the expansion and growth we are experiencing on this journey we call life. How are you feeling and how is life treating you?
I hope it is gracious and I want you to know that as you read this, I am sending you all the love and peace you so ardently deserve. It is also our mid year this 2025 for Wellness With Her and here are some notary moments that we have heard as a community:
- Non-stop Wato Movement Workshops since 11th January, 2025 with zero cancellations or postponements until date.
- Welcoming an honorary partnership with Njovu Wellness Shots and Maaya’s Kitchen- two enterprises led by one of our facilitators, Nambalirwa PMaaya, where our members and attendees receive wellness shots and juice to replenish their bodies after our key movement sessions
- Partnering with ChezaDodge as their wellness partner on their journey to take Kwepena to the Olympics.
- Partnering with Rotaract Club of Kampala East to support with their members observing conscious existence as they fellowship.
- Partnering with 1 more primary school, 1 secondary school, 1 university and multiple corporate entities such as UTel, DFCU Bank, IUEA and more to share in wellness fellowship thus furthering our mission as an entity and community based organizations.
This is no small feat and this is only a summary of the work we have been and continue to do on this journey of sharing the wellness gospel.
It now leads me to think…
When I first began this journey, it wasn’t from a place of knowing it was from a place of seeking. Seeking, and the deep acceptance that in order to receive, one too, shall give.
I was seeking healing. Seeking wholeness. Seeking myself.
During one of the most interesting seasons of my life during the Miss Uganda 2023 Campaign and journey, I had to pick an advocacy and split for choice, I found myself pulled to wellness. I found myself returning to my body. To breath. To movement. It was through that quiet return that I began to understand: wellness is not a luxury. It is a right. A birthright. A necessity.
Wellness With Her Club was born from this deep realization. It began as a whisper during the national bootcamp, as the other ladies and my fellow contestants picked menstrual health and hygiene, or education (very important advocacies as they truly address , I believed that we needed to get to the root issue. It occurred to me that maybe, just maybe, other women and girls were seeking the same connection.
I am glad that I wasn’t wrong. Today, we are a movement; rooted, and rising, simply dedicated to the holistic empowerment of women and girls across East Africa.

At our core, we believe in movement as medicine, in storytelling as power, and in community as a pathway to transformation. Through programs grounded in our R.A.I.S.E. H.E.R. values Resilience, Authenticity, Inclusivity, Sustainability, Empowerment, Harmony, Empathy, and Reflection, we are building more than just a club. We are building a sisterhood. A revolution of healing.
I am therefore grateful to my team for all the conscious work we do, our partners, our clients and to you dear reader.
This work is personal. It’s ancestral. It’s necessary.
Whether you are joining us as a participant, a partner, or a curious spirit: welcome. You are seen. You are needed. You belong.
Let us continue to affirm our lives.
Let us rise, well; together.
With gratitude and purpose,
Rianne Lelia Bateeze
Be Well, be You.
