MISS UGANDA 2024-2025 NATASHA NYONYOZI HEADS TO TELANGANA, INDIA FOR MISS WORLD CHAMPIONING AUTISM AWARENESS ON THE GLOBAL STAGE

Kampala, Uganda | May 2025

Miss Uganda 2024-2025, Natasha Nyonyozi, has officially arrived in Telangana, India, where she is proudly representing Uganda at the Miss World 2025 competition. With grace, intelligence, and a heart rooted in purpose, Natasha carries not just the Ugandan sash but also a powerful message — one of autism awareness and inclusion, a cause she has devoted herself to through her foundation, The Nyonyozi Initiative.

At just 24, Natasha has emerged as a formidable advocate for children and families affected by autism, dedicating her Miss World Beauty with a Purpose project to advancing awareness, policy, and compassion around neurodiversity in Uganda. Through her initiative, she has championed conversations around inclusion, lobbied for more autism-sensitive laws and policies, and helped shape national awareness campaigns that are now shifting public perception.

As a nation, we are still learning to fully embrace children and adults on the spectrum,” Natasha shared in a recent interview. “My dream is for every child with autism in Uganda to be seen, understood, supported, and celebrated — not just tolerated.

Her work has been lauded by educators, parents, and even policymakers, and her presence at the Miss World stage is not just symbolic — it is a statement of advocacy, of heart, and of a Uganda that cares deeply about inclusion.

In the lead-up to her departure, Natasha has also been actively taking care of her mind and body. As part of her wellness preparation, she partnered with Wellness with Her Club, a local women-led movement that centres holistic health, intentional movement, and confidence-building for young women.
