Welcome to Affirm Your Life a 30-day journey of conscious living, menstrual health awareness, and radical self-love, brought to you by Wellness with Her Club. We have come all the way from January and this month of May, we are lighting it up by affirming our period.
Each day, we’ll share a Power Move which is a mindful action that empowers you to connect with your body, your cycle, and your inner strength. These daily rituals are rooted in wellness, education, and soul-nourishing self-care. Today, we begin with the foundation of it all:
Day 1 Power Move: Write an Affirmation About Your Body and Womanhood
Why it matters:
Your body is not just a vessel; it is your story, your power, and your home. In a world that often places expectations on how you should feel about your body and menstrual cycle, choosing your own narrative is a revolutionary act.
Affirmations are more than words. They are intentions. They rewire your thoughts, elevate your energy, and shift the way you relate to yourself. When you consciously affirm your body, you reclaim ownership over it.
The Practice:
- Find a quiet space where you can be with yourself for a few minutes.
- Place your hands gently on your lower abdomen—your womb space. Breathe deeply.
- Say this affirmation out loud or in your mind: “My body is wise, powerful, and worthy of love. I honor my cycle and the strength it brings me.”
- Now, create your own affirmation that feels personal and true. Try to avoid generic phrases—this is your truth. Here are a few more examples for inspiration:
- “My womanhood is sacred. I embrace every phase of my cycle.”
- “Even in discomfort, my body is doing something miraculous.”
- “I release shame and invite compassion into my body story.”
- Write your affirmation in your journal, phone notes, or on a sticky note for your mirror. Let it guide your day.
