The moon looks real beautiful tonight.
Looking seemingly forlorn but still with might.
He stands watching over, leaving a glare so slight
With the sky all around him, not putting up a fight.
Tell me, Mr. Moon, what do you see?
Standing oh so high, do tell, that’s my humble plea.
Do you glimpse the secrets in the hearts of men?
And if you could, would you tell me then?
My heart beats steadily for you.
My body arches deeply for you
My soul sighs heartily for you
My mind thinks of possibilities of how to get to you.
Talk to me Moon, and tell me what you see.
For years and years, you’ve stood over the sea.
Do we have a price to pay or do we live for free?
For if we do pay, then where do we flee?
